We are excited you are considering GCDS for your child. For all families, our admissions process begins when you submit the Application for your child and schedule a Parent Interview/Tour.
Scheduling a Parent Interview/Tour is an initial step in the application process. If you are a first time applicant to Country Day, your visit will include a campus tour led by a parent volunteer followed by an interview with an Admissions Director. If you are a current GCDS parent, or have toured or applied in the past, no additional tour is required but may be requested. The Parent Interview is required of all applicant parents.
Parent Interview/Tours are offered Monday through Friday mornings from mid-September through January. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for your visit.
To help us learn more about you and your child, we would appreciate receiving your application prior to your Parent Interview/Tour.
To schedule a Parent Interview/Tour, call the Admissions Office at (203) 863-5610.
The online application is due by December 15. Applications received after December 15 will be considered on a rolling basis, subject to available space in a grade.
First-time users will need to create an account to begin the online application. Please make note of this information so that you may return to the site and monitor receipt of supporting documentation for your child’s application. You may submit applications for additional children using the same login information. After completing the first application, select Add an Applicant to begin the application for another child.
Returning users should use the email address and the password chosen when the account was created.
A non-refundable fee of $75 is due with the application. If you are applying for financial assistance, please contact the Admissions Office to request the fee-waiver code.
You will receive a confirmation email from the Admissions Office when your application has been successfully submitted.
Please select a grade level of interest to learn more about the additional requirements for each applicant.
