Summer Camp
Dear Parents and Campers,
This year we are offering flexible enrollment options for all children in both the Lower Camp, ages 4 and 5, and Upper Camp, ages 6 through 12. Your child can attend camp for 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, or the entire 5 weeks of summer camp. Camp sessions begin June 28 and end July 29. Enroll in the session that best fits your summer schedule. These choices provide greater flexibility in planning your child’s summer activities, while offering campers a great summer camp experience.
Campers will also enjoy the wonderful new programs at the camp such as Movie Making and Carnival Day, as well as an expanded program of off-site field trips—all with an impressive camper-to-staff ratio of 4:1. All campers (including GCDS students) must provide a completed medical form prior to the start of camp activities. If you are not familiar with our campus, feel free to contact me; I’d be happy to arrange a tour. If you have any questions or comments, please call me at 203-863-5608 or email me at tmcginty@gcds.net. Summer Camp 2010 at GCDS promises to be another exciting summer!

The Summer Day Camp, sponsored by The Greenwich Country Day School, is set to have its forty-eighth fun-filled, action-packed summer session! Campers go on nature explorations of The Greenwich Country Day School’s beautiful 80-acre campus. They play games with newly made friends in the school’s two pools and its spacious athletic complex, including six tennis courts. Then summer fun and learning come together for woodworking, arts and crafts, music, dance, and even computer under the guidance of well-trained counselors and instructors drawn primarily from the faculty and staff of The Greenwich Country Day School.
To maximize camper engagement, there are six age groups. These groupings allow the instructors to give more personalized attention to each camper and to target age-specific athletic and artistic activities.
Sincerely,
Timothy McGinty
Director of Summer Camp
