Reaching for Tomorrow: The Campaign for Country Day
| | |
We have embarked on a vital initiative to ensure excellence in teaching and learning at GCDS, now and in the future, by launching “Reaching for Tomorrow: The Campaign for Country Day.”
The Long-Term Facilities Master Plan calls for:
• the construction of a new Upper School to house 7th – 9th grades
• the construction of a new theater
• additional faculty housing
• improvements to the athletic fields
• new traffic pattern on campus plus additional parking
• endowed funds to support the new facilities
The Master Plan is designed to be implemented over a period of years in order to minimize the impact on school life and to allow for prudent financing.
As Campaign Chair Paul Ghaffari recently stated in a letter to alumni, parents of alumni, and grandparents:
"Witnessing this construction has given me a new depth of appreciation for how we 'build' the character of our students at Country Day. I see in the daily changes to our campus not only a reflection of the school’s vitality but a metaphor for our fundamental purpose as a school. This fundamental purpose is the motivating force behind all our current initiatives: creating an environment where young people can develop the foundation and the framework for a productive, meaningful life."
Please join us in “Reaching for Tomorrow.”
