Welcome to Country Day
Information for First Year Families
Dear Parents,
All parents of new students are encouraged to volunteer in school activities.
Volunteer Opportunities
You received a booklet, "Connections", in your summer orientation package describing a number of other volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in a particular area, you may contact Alison Knight, PAB President, to indicate an interest in volunteering for the 2010-2011 academic year. In addition to the opportunities detailed in the Connections Booklet, you may also be asked to give your time in the classroom assisting teachers with special field trips, projects, or lunch table duties (kindergarten through ninth grade). Sign-ups for these events will be available at your class coffees held in the early fall.
Updating Health Forms
Information will be sent to you in the spring mailing. Medical Forms are included in this mailing and may also be downloaded from our website: www.GCDS.net on the Home Page under Quick Links. Please note the immunizations required for each entering grade level as they include changes in the vaccination requirements by the state of Connecticut.
Updating Contact Information
This may be done by contacting the Admission Office at 203-863-5610 or by following instructions on the parent portal of our website.
