The Town of Greenwich provides school bus service free of charge to Greenwich residents in the morning and at school dismissal (Monday-Thursday at 4:25 p.m. and Friday at 12:25 p.m.). "Town Buses” serve multiple schools. In addition, GCDS “Tiger Buses” provide limited routes in the morning and afternoon to GCDS students only. Students must be at least five (5) years old and in Kindergarten to ride alone. Pre-kindergarten students may ride the Tiger Buses provided they are accompanied by an older GCDS sibling.
Please note that out of Town bus service is selectively available. Westchester families are often able to secure bus transportation from their Town provided the request is made prior to most Town’s April deadline. Students may also ride Metro North and use the GCDS train shuttle to both the Old Church Road and Stanwich Road campuses. Discounted train tickets are available for student riders.
