GCDS FIRST The Campaign for Tradition and Innovation

INVESTMENT: BUILDING THE SCHOOL'S ENDOWMENT

Throughout Greenwich Country Day School's history, our endowment has grown and provided increased financial stability to GCDS, as well as expanded support for educational programs.

This investment in further securing the school's financial future will support three key areas:

Need-Based Financial Aid

We invest in the socio-economic diversity of our students by providing need-based financial aid and by striving to ensure that those students have the same Country Day experience as their peers. Gifts to financial aid endowment will allow us to provide an exceptional education to qualified students so that they too can benefit from this transformative opportunity.

Excellence in Teaching

The single biggest factor in our students' success is the talent and dedication of our faculty and staff. Gifts that fund these endowment priorities will enable GCDS to continually provide the best resources to our faculty–including professional development, sabbaticals, and Faculty Chairs–ensuring that the school will continue to recruit and retain the best talent.

Educational Programs

Robotics, a makerspace, coding classes, athletic training for students and coaches, international travel–these are a few of the many programs central to teaching and learning in the 21st century at GCDS. Endowed support will allow these programs to flourish.

"This campaign will expand GCDS's ability to attract the best educators. Our teachers knew and understood us. They respected how we learned best, encouraged us to challenge ourselves, and supported us unconditionally, helping us develop the skills that have made us successful personally and professionally."- REMY SANDERS DOWD AND JORDAN SANDERS

"For our students, the strong, caring relationships they build will last in memory, and in reality, beyond assignments or learning experiences. GCDS attracts people who care about each other, the greater world, and the quality of the relationships in their lives."
- Chrissy COLON BRADT
DIRECTOR of DIVERSITY, EQUITY, and INCLUSION

"GCDS today–the experience and environment–is only what it is because of the generosity and commitment of the people who have gone before. Now is your opportunity to support your child, your grandchildren, and future generations as they benefit from the unique opportunity the school offers them."- Vernon Schwartz
