Set aside the fact that as a community we packaged and shipped over an astounding 162,000 meals for hungry people around the world, and focus for a moment on how it is possible to create a culture where empathy, care for others, and teamwork are celebrated and extolled. In today's world where division and vitriol tend to dominate our news cycle, our efforts to join with Rise Against Hunger have further enhanced what is already at the heart of Country Day. That, of course, is the single belief that while we will always graduate academically well-prepared children, perhaps even more importantly, we will graduate children who at their core will be people of the highest character.
Enjoy this short video and listen to the children as they share why these events mean so much to them.
