Dear GCDS Community -
When I ask our alumni what they cherish about their Country Day experience, they invariably mention the relationships they developed while at GCDS—and still maintain—with peers, faculty, and staff. When we hear the word relationship, we all understand the importance of connecting with others toward creating a sense of community and belonging; however, we don't often associate the strength of relationships with being the foundation for powerful teaching and learning. At GCDS, building relationships with students—knowing, loving, and valuing each student—is central to setting the stage for deep and joyful learning.
In this Headlines video, our Division Heads share their thoughts on the importance of relationships as the key to a world class learning environment.
