With Thanksgiving today, I wanted to take a moment to share how grateful I am. I feel so blessed to work in a school community where everyone deeply cares about one another, where every day we have fun, and where the future is so very bright. It was almost one year ago today that we embarked on our exciting plan to add grades 10, 11, and 12—and we are now closing in on that reality. Our combination with Stanwich truly embodies the phrase “better together.”
This short video captures some great moments over the last few weeks during our many integration activities—students from both schools playing together, learning together, making music together, doing community service together, and, of course, widening their circles of friendship. This video opens with highlights from “Share the Music,” an afternoon of learning and collaboration for GCDS and Stanwich musicians in grades 6-12.
May your Thanksgiving be filled with family, friends, good cheer, and may we all take a brief moment to recognize how lucky we are.
