ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE - October 13
The Walkathon is a tremendous all-school effort to raise support for important charities, and this year we will be raising funds for ALS research and care.
Many people have asked how they can contribute to Andrew and his family directly.
If you have an interest in contributing to the Niblock family, you can make a contribution to the Niblock Family Trust. In addition to helping offset the incremental costs of living with ALS, contributions to the Niblock Family Trust go towards Andrew's participation in advanced and experimental technology, equipment, and treatments.
It is Andrew's goal to live a long, purposeful, engaged, and full life. His commitment to his family, friends, education, Country Day, and the ALS community will not waver.
Gifts to the Niblock Family Trust are NOT tax deductible.
ALS TDI (ALS Therapy Development Institute) - The world’s largest nonprofit biotech focused 100 percent on ALS research. The work of ALS TDI has resulted in the development of AT – 1501, a promising therapy moving toward clinical trials, and the establishment of the precision medicine program, a partnership between the laboratory and people living with ALS to build a database around disease progression and therapy.
Many in the Country Day community participated in the Tri-State Trek this June, which benefited the work of ALS TDI.
ALS Finding a Cure is an organization dedicated exclusively to funding research toward a cure for ALS. An advisory board, led by Dr. Merit Cudkowicz, Director of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and one of Andrew's physicians, research and support therapy and medicine development around the world.
All philanthropy funds raised for ALSFAC will be matched up to 1.5 Million by Mr. Rizzuto, owner and founder of Conair Corporation. Funds raised for ALSFAC go 100% to research to find the cure for ALS.
