Summer Camps

"Our kids absolutely loved camp - everything from the sports, to the art projects, to woodshop, to the new friends they made. They came home everyday happy and excited for the next day. They've been to other summer camps before, but GCDS camp has been their favorite." - Camp Parent from 2020
Summer 2023 - June 26 - July 28
Our state-of-the-art facilities include 2 swimming pools, 4 gymnasiums, 4 tennis courts, a dance studio, a rock wall, a Performing Arts Center, a dining hall, GaGa Pits, playground structures, grass and turf playing fields, Technology and Creativity Labs, and air-conditioned classrooms.
Campers are divided into seven age groups. This allows our professional instructors and exceptional counselors to give a personalized approach to each camper and to provide a wide variety of activities in a developmentally appropriate manner. Nut-free, nutritious lunches are provided daily to all campers in Lower Camp and Upper Camp.
Our Day Camp will go from June 26 - July 28 and is open to all children in the CT/NY area.
* There will be no camp on 7/4
Swim Lessons
Swim lessons are provided as part of the GCDS Summer Camp experience for campers ages 4-13. Lessons are an additional option for campers age 3 in our Stay & Swim program. Lessons are provided on-site at the Old Church Road campus.

Lower Camp Director, Emmanuel Saldana
Emmanuel Saldana will be in his first year as the Director of Lower Camp. He also serves as the Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, a junior Seminar teacher, advisor, and varsity swimming coach at GCDS. Emmanuel has been a lifelong summer camp person but took his passion for summer camp to start and grow the Cathedral STEAM Camp for five years in the 13-acre close of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York, NY.
