GCDS Varsity Girls Lacrosse defeated Rye Country Day 9-8 to secure a share of the FAA regular season championship, finishing 6-1 in conference play alongside Greenwich Academy and Rye Country Day.
Sadie Manger led with 5 goals and 4 draw controls, Ryan Milim added 3 goals and 5 draw controls, and Ella Michaelis scored 2. Rapha Jacobson anchored the defense with 4 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers, while goalkeeper Parker Lowe made 8 saves, including crucial stops down the stretch.
Head Coach Caitlin Copelan reflected on the achievement: "I am so proud of our team and program. We have a few seniors who have been on the team since 8th grade when we first were FAA co-champs. The league has gotten increasingly more competitive, and for our program to rise to the occasion and be a top team in a very competitive conference is a true testament to the work the girls are putting in and our incredible leadership by the 11 seniors. While we will miss our seniors and the impressive legacy they've left, we are truly excited about the future of GCDS girls lacrosse."
